BASICS
Rackmounting
We recommend configuring and testing all required connections prior to
mounting the device.
Parts
The WaveRunner 8000-R rackmount kit is delivered with:
• Two (2) mounting brackets
• Four (4) M4x6 pan-head screws with Torx T-20 drive
• One (1) Torx T-20 key
Note:
The kit does
not
include the fasteners needed to attach the
rackmount to your equipment rack. Consult your rack manufacturer
regarding the appropriate type, size, and number of fasteners to install the
rackmount securely.
Tools
You will need a Torx T-20 screwdriver to attach the rackmount brackets to
the oscilloscope.
Dimensions
This rackmount kit has been designed to fit standard 19-inch rack cabinets
per EIA/ECA 310-E.

Installation Instructions
1. Position the left bracket so that the screw holes align with the two holes
on the side of the oscilloscope. The mounting "ears" should be flush
with the front of the unit.
2. Using two of the M4x6 screws included with the rackmount kit, attach
the left bracket to the oscilloscope body. Apply 20 in.-lb. torque to the
screws.
3. Install the right bracket in the same manner as the left.
4. With the brackets securely fastened to the unit, install the oscilloscope
into a rack following the manufacturer's specifications.
CAUTION:
Use two fasteners per side to fully support the weight of
the unit.
