9   Problem solver

 

 

PROBLEM                                     POSSIBLE CAUSE                                   REMEDY

1. 

The receiver does not start                     -The power adapter is not plugged in. 

 

-Power   adapter   plugged   in,   but   the 
receiver still does not work. 

-Make   sure   the   power   adapter   is 
properly plugged in. 
-   Unplug   the   power   adapter   and 
check  it  for  damage  (risk  of  electric 
shock!).

2. 

No LED lights up                                     -IR sensor/LED device is not plugged in.     -Make   sure   the   power   adapter   is 

plugged in completely.

No Video or Audio signal                        -SCART not connected properly.

-Audio volume low or zero. 
-AV channel not selected on TV.

The channel scan gives no results         -No or bad antenna signal. 

 
 

-Your  antenna  system  is  not  compliant 
with the digital terrestrial signal. 
-You have an active antenna.

The settings are not saved.                    -Setting    changes    are    not    confirmed 

before quitting. 

5. 

The remote control does not work.         -The remote control is not being directed 

towards the receiver. 
-The remote control battery is flat. 
-The  remote  control  has  been  dropped 
and  its  internal  components  have  been 
damaged. 

-Check the SCART connection, 
-Make   sure   the   TV   and   receiver 
volumes are not set to zero. 
-  Make  sure  the  AV  channel  is 
selected  on  the  TV  (consult  the  TV 
user manual). 
-Check  the  antenna  installation  and 
signal quality. 
-Manually scan for channels. 
-Ask for an antenna technician help. 

 

-Check  the 

“Antenna  Setting”  (refer 

to chapt. 3, point 4). 
-Before  quitting  a  menu  press  the 
Confirm button to save the changes. 
-Make sure nothing is obstructing the 
IR sensor. 
-Change battery. 
-Contact  the  local  dealer  and  buy  a 
new remote control.

You have forgotten the Password.                                                                              -The   default   password   is   0-0-0-0 

(four  zeros).  If  you  have  changed 
password  consult  this  manual  at 
section 4.1.

The event timer function doesn't work
