4. Enable hysteresis by pressing Hysteresis (main)

Hysteresis (side). Using
the general purpose knob, set a hysteresis value that is appropriate for your
disk drive signal, such as 1.5 divs.
The hysteresis value, in divisions, is reflected above and below the wave-
form baseline. For example, if you choose a value of 2.0 divs, the hysteresis
level ranges from –2.0 divs to +2.0 divs.
5. Enable limit testing by pressing Limit Test (main)

On/Off (side). Select
ON.
6. Press Upper Limit (side), and use the general purpose knob to select an
upper limit for this test, such as 100
m
s.
7. Press Lower Limit (side), and use the general purpose knob to select a lower
limit for this test, such as 1 ns.
8. Press –menu– (main)

Start (side) to start the test.
9. Wait for the measurement to complete, then view the results as shown in
Figure 2–7.
