If some of the LEDs or features do not appear to function correctly,
fi
rst go to www.tektronix.com/probe-support to check for
probe/oscilloscope compatibility and to download the latest oscilloscope
fi
rmware. Read the release notes and other information
associated with the
fi
rmware upgrades to learn about any anomalies that may exist with your probe/oscilloscope combination when
using that version of
fi
rmware. It is good practice to periodically check the web site for new
fi
rmware versions that enhance the
performance and capabilities of your Tektronix instruments.
To check the
fi
rmware version on Windows-based instruments, from the menu bar, click Help/About TekScope. On
Linux-based instruments, press the Utilities button on the front panel. If you need to upgrade your instrument
fi
rmware, go to
www.tektronix.com/software to download the latest
fi
rmware.
Error condition
If one of the Range LEDs does not remain lit after you connect the probe, an internal probe diagnostic fault exists. Disconnect and
reconnect the probe to restart the power-on diagnostic sequence. If the symptoms continue, the probe is defective, and must
be returned to Tektronix for repair.
