The O/E converter under test and the test equipment and should be warmed up
for 20 minutes at an ambient temperature between 20 and 30

1. Attach the output of the SD-44 to the voltmeter inputs with a 50

tion and BNC-to-banana adapter.
2. Install the optical dust cover on the input of the SD-44.
3. Check that output voltage is

1 mV. Record the result on the test record.
DC Conversion Gain
NOTE
. Make sure that the optical connector ends of both the fiber from the
optical attenuator output and the SD-44 under test input fiber are well cleaned
before performing this step. See to the cleaning instructions on page 7.
1. Connect the 1310 nm laser source to attenuator input.
