Cleaning and maintenance

Cleaning the appliance 

•  Once the appliance has completely cooled down, empty the tank and wipe it

clean with a soft damp cloth -

•  Do not put the tank/base in the dishwasher. 
•  All the other removable parts can be put in the dishwasher - 

fig.18

e: Some natural strong coloured juices from food such as carrots, beetroot…

may cause staining in the juice collector and the water tank. This is normal and will
not effect cooking.
•  To try and avoid staining, wash these two parts immediately after each use. You

may also use mild bleach if necessary and rinse thoroughly.

Descaling

•  For best results, descale the appliance after approximately 8 uses.
•  Take out the juice collector.
•  Fill the hollow of the heating element with 250 ml of white vinegar and add 500 ml

of water.

•  Leave overnight to descale.
•  Rinse out the inside of the water tank with warm water several times.

Storing the bowls

•  Put the rice bowl upside down in the juice collector.
•  Stack the baskets one inside the other.
•  Turn all parts over on the base unit. Put the lid over them all.

Do not use abrasive
cleaning products or
sponges; Do not immerse
the water tank/power base
in water
