Electrical details
• Power and voltage are indicated

on the appliance.

• Fixed cord.

If the power supply cord is dama-
ged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent
or a similarly qualified person in
order to avoid a hazard.

liquid (not scouring powder).

ASSEMBLY OF THE APPLIANCE

N.B. : Please use the pictures at the beginning of the
instructions to guide you.
1. 
If your appliance comes complete with :

a. support legs only (according to model) : place them

inside the legs integrated in the body of the appliance.

b. support legs with leg frame (according to model) : see

pictures of assembly situated at the beginning of the
instructions.
N.B. : the pushed-in part of the leg, situated at the
fixing whole level, must be directed into the side of the
leg mounting.

2. Place reflector inside the body of the appliance : the curved

side of the reflector must be placed forward.

3. Place the heating element on the back side of the reflec-

tor then insert properly the board in its place so that the
security system is operational. Then place the grid on the
appliance.

4. For AMIGO model :

a. If your appliance does not come complete with

handles (according to model) : place the grid on the
appliance, inside lateral notches (3 different heights).

b. If your appliance comes complete with handles

(according to model) : insert them in hooks situated on
each side of the grid then place the grid on the
appliance (3 different heights).

5. If your appliance comes complete with a splatter guard

(according to model) : place it on the grid inserting
notches into the bars of the grid.

USE INSTRUCTIONS

• Check that the voltage indicated

on the base of the appliance is
the same as your mains.

• To avoid overheating of your

appliance, we recommend you
do not place it in a corner or
against a wall.

• Pour 1,5 l. water maximum into

the reflector so that the
appliance works adequatly 
and
check there is always water when
using the appliance.
For AMIGO model : if the water
level is below 0,6 l., the appliance
stops heating for safety reason.
N.B. : When you add water during
cooking, do not pour it over the
heating element.

• Switch on at the mains.

When using an extension cable,
secure that it is safely concealed
so that people do not trip over it.

• If your appliance comes complete

with an On/Off switch, switch it
on.

• If your appliance comes complete

with a thermostat,  position it on
Max.
After pre-heating, turn it to the
position of your choice.

• Pre-heating : 10-15 minutes.
• On first use it is normal for the

heating element to give off a
small amount of smoke and
odour.

SAFETY WARNINGS

• The appliance should be switched off at the mains when

not in use.

• Before each use, unwind the flex completely.
• Supply the appliance through a residual current device

(RCD) having a tripping current not exceeding 30 mA.

• The appliance is to be connected to a socket-outlet having

an earthing contact.

• Use only one appliance per plug and always use an earthed

extension cable, with cross section of at least 1 mm

• The supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of

damage and the appliance is not to be used if the cord is
damaged.

• Never touch metallic parts while the appliance is on as

they can become very hot.

• Before switching off at the mains, turn the thermostat to

the “0” position or switch to Off (on selected models only).

• Place the appliance on a firm table : avoid using it on a

soft base.

• Never place your appliance directly on a fragile surface

(glass table, tablecloth, piece of furniture).

• Do not place anything between the grid and the food

(e.g. a dish, aluminium foil...).

• Do not place cooking utensils to heat on the barbecue.
• WARNING : do not use charcoal or any other combustible

material with this appliance.

• Never leave your appliance in use without supervision.
• Do not cook food in tinfoil.

CLEANING

• Unplug and wait until the heating element is cold.
• Clean the base with a sponge in hot water and washing

up liquid. Do not put in the dishwasher !

• Do not use scouring powder.
• The heating element does not require cleaning, but when

cold it can be rubbed with a dry cloth to remove any food
deposits.

• For the grid use a brush and usual washing-up liquid.
• For the reflector clean it in a dish washer, or leave it to soak
