2 Operation advice
2.1 Mains operation
Mains operation:
A mains adapter with 6 VDC ±2% must be employed with min. 300 mA. In this way, the
accumulators will be charged, even if the SG-portable measuring instrument is switched
off.
Mains adapter:
2,1 mm female jag
6 VDC
outside 0 V
Caution:
During the mains operation, batteries must be remov ed from the dev ice. Otherw ise,
the batteries and the dev ice w ould be destroyed!!
2.2 Battery/Accumulator operation
Battery operation: 4 x Type: Micro AAA (LR03) with 1,5 V.
Before mains operation, batteries hav e to be remov ed from the dev ice!!
Accumulator operation: 4 x Type: NiMH Micro AAA (LR03) with min. 600 mAh and 1,2 V.
At mains operation the load time takes approx. 5-7 h, whereby the charging current at
empty accumulators is max. 200 mA, then however sinks with increasing capacity, and
switches to preservation charge (overload protection) with full accumulators.
2.3 Tension supply
LOW BATTERY
If the permissible battery/accumulators voltage is fallen below, LOW BATTERY begins to
flash at the display.
Warning:
If LOW BATTERY is indicated, the dev ice may not be continued using. Because in this
case w rong measured v alues can be indicated.
