3.3.3 Software Upgrade

You can download the official “updated software” from VMAX web site to upgrade WiMAX USB Dongle

as well as Connection Manager

1.

WiMAX Device Firmware Upgrade

i.

Please browse the official “updated software” file that you have downloaded, and click the

“Update” button. Connection Manager will therefore download the file into WiMAX device.

Such  a  software  upgrade  process will  take  1~3  minutes.  Please  do  not unplug  WiMAX

USB Dongle until the update process is finished.

ii.

After the “updated software” file downloading is finished, if Connection Manager needs to

be upgraded to the same “updated software” file, please click “Apply” button and unplug

and  plug  in the WiMAX USB  Dongle  to  reinstall Connection Manager. Please  refer  to

Chapter-1 about how to upgrade Connection Manager.

Connection Manager Upgrade

If  you  want  to  update  the  same  version  of  Connection  Manager  in  the WiMAX USB  Dongle,

please  click  the “Apply”  button  and  then  unplug  and  plug  in  the  WiMAX  device  to  reinstall

Connection Manager. Please refer to Chapter-1 about how to upgrade Connection Manager.
