5. Using the provided measuring spoon, add the desired amount of ground coffee. 

Notes : For a strong coffee, use the following European method, which produces a  
 

  rich  and  full-bodied  flavour.  Put  10  coffee  pods  full  of  coffee  for  9  to  10 

cups. 

 To have a lighter coffee, reduce the amount of coffee or try with different  
  amounts of water and coffee. 

6. Close the lid. 
7. When the top  lid  is closed  and the  jug  is  properly  in  place,  press  the On / Off 
button. The pilot light will light on to indicate that the cycle has started. 
8. After draining, wait a few minutes for the remaining liquid in the filter to flow into 
the jug. 
9. After the coffee grounds are cool, open the lid and remove the filter. 
Discard the used coffee filter. (If it is paper) 

CAUTION: The appliance becomes very hot during the brew cycle, handle with 
  

 

caution. 
The hotplate will operate 40 minutes after starting of the device. 

10. Always set the coffee maker to "OFF" when the carafe is empty or not to keep 
the coffee warm. 
 
 

 

 
 
 

 

 

PAUSE & SERVE 

This function allows you to interrupt the brewing cycle and pour a cup of coffee 
before the entire carafe is finished brewing.  

 

CAUTION: By removing the carafe from its holder, the coffee no longer flows into 
the carafe but will continue to flow into the filter. 
Do not exceed 30 seconds and reposition fast the coffee maker on its support ! 

 

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE 

 
Before cleaning, always: switch off the appliance, disconnect the apparatus and 
let it cool.  
Clean the outside of the apparatus with a sponge or slightly wet linen. 
The parts (removable) in contact with food like plate, bowl, forks, Spatula etc. can 
be washed in hot water with sponge and soft detergent or put in the dishwasher.  
Never plunge the apparatus in water or all other liquid !  
Do not use abrasive cleaners, gritting, or metal brush or another cutting object. 
 

CAUTION: Never open the Top Lid during the brewing cycle; even if no water 
is draining from the Funnel. Extremely hot water/coffee can spill out from the 
basket and cause injury. If water/coffee is not draining from the filter basket, 
IMMEDIATELY unplug the unit and wait 10 minutes before opening and 
checking the filter.
