16.12 Certificates and approvals
CE mark
The measuring system is in conformity with the statutory requirements of the applicable
EU Directives. These are listed in the corresponding EU Declaration of Conformity along
with the standards applied.
Hauser confirms successful testing of the device by affixing to it the CE mark.
C-Tick symbol
The measuring system meets the EMC requirements of the "Australian Communications
and Media Authority (ACMA)".
Ex approval
The devices are certified for use in hazardous areas and the relevant safety instructions are
provided in the separate "Safety Instructions" (XA) document. Reference is made to this
document on the nameplate.
Sanitary compatibility
• 3-A approval
Only devices with the order code for "Additional approval", option
LP
"3A" have
3-A approval.
• EHEDG-tested
Only devices with the order code for "Additional approval", option
LT
"EHEDG" have been
tested and meet the requirements of the EHEDG.
To meet the requirements for EHEDG certification, the device must be used with process
connections in accordance with the EHEDG position paper entitled "Easy Cleanable Pipe
Couplings and Process Connections" (

).

EtherNet/IP certification
The measuring device is certified and registered by the ODVA (Open Device Vendor
Association). The measuring system meets all the requirements of the following
specifications:
• Certified in accordance with the ODVA Conformance Test
• EtherNet/IP Performance Test
• EtherNet/IP PlugFest compliance
• The device can also be operated with certified devices of other manufacturers
(interoperability)
Pressure Equipment
Directive
• With the identification PED/G1/x (x = category) on the sensor nameplate,
Hauser confirms conformity with the "Essential Safety Requirements" specified
in Appendix I of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EC.
• Devices not bearing this marking (PED) are designed and manufactured according to
good engineering practice. They meet the requirements of Art. 4, Par. 3 of the Pressure
Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU. The range of application is indicated in tables 6 to 9
in Annex II of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EC.
