INSTALLATION OF THE BRACKET ONTO THE MEDFUSION 4000 SYRINGE PUMP 
(CONTINUED)

4.  Install the medical device into the main assembly.

5. 

Align  the  screws  with  the  screws  holes  of  the 

main assembly and front support plate.

6. 

Install the (4) Black Oxide Stainless Steel Round 

Head  Phillips  Screws  10-32  x  3/8"  on  the  front 

support plate.

7. 

Press the front support plate against the medical 

device to secure it into the assembly.

NOTE

Put a few drops of medium strength thread-locking 

adhesive  (blue  Loctite  242)  on  each  screw  before 

installation  to  prevent  the  screws  from  loosening 

during normal use.

Tighten the four (4) screws.

CAUTION

Do not use electrical tools to install the screws.

Do not overtighten the screws

The  Medfusion  4000    Syringe  Infusion  Pump 

from  Smiths  Medical  is  ready  for  transport 

once  properly  inserted  into  its  bracket  and  the 

stretcher mounting system.
