CARE AND CLEANING

Unplug the unit

 from the mains power before cleaning.

The surface of the units can be cleaned with a barely damp cloth and then dried 
carefully. Never use abrasives, abrasive cloths or chemical solvents. Brush loud

-

speaker grilles lightly with a soft brush. Never vacuum the grilles as the suction 
could damage the loudspeaker drive units.

WARRANTY

Your Technika appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of 
purchase. If a fault develops during this period, please contact the TESCO electrical 
help line on 0845 456 6767. Please have your original purchase receipt with you 
when you call. This warranty in no way affects your consumer rights.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the system is not performing as well as you expect, please follow the checklist 

below before returning the unit to Tesco.
Switch off all connected units before carrying out any checks.

No Sound: 

Is the Mains indicator lit? If not, switch the Subwoofer OFF, check and rectify the 
mains connections and then switch on again. Now reset system levels.
The system is switched to mute. Press the mute switch to restore the volume level.

No Bass/Insufficient Bass: 

5.1 input:

 Subwoofer option on the Sound Processor is not enabled. Subwoofer 

input not plugged in. BASS level turned down. Speakers set to LARGE (See P7)

Stereo Input: 

The system is in BYPASS mode. Switch to SURROUND mode.

Sound appears garbled:

5.1 input:

 The system is in SURROUND mode. Switch to BYPASS mode.

Sound appears indistinct:

The LEFT/RIGHT channels on one or more pairs of speakers are connected the 
wrong way round.  Switch off the system and all connected sources. Check and 
rectify all connections and then switch on again. Now reset system levels.

AFTER USING THE SYSTEM

• 

 Switch the system to MUTE.

• 

 Switch the unit off at the mains and unplug it for greater safety if it is not likely  

 

 to be used for a period of time.

Please note: 

The system has no internal memory. If you switch the system off at 

the mains all user settings will be lost when you next switch on.
