Attention
: Keep the mouth closed during the process to avoid any influence from outside
temperature.
B.
Axillar use:
Put the tip of the thermometer at the armpit contacting the skin. Keep the thermometer
parallel with the person’s body and put the arm over the breast (this makes the sensor to
be protected from outside air). Keep it in this position for 60 seconds. After that the
procedure will be the same as above for oral use.
C.
Rectal use:
This should be used when oral or axillar measuring is inconvenient. It is not recommended
for children.
Put the tip of the thermometer at the rectum not more than 1 cm. Keep it in this position
for 60 seconds. After that the procedure will be the same as above for oral use.
Precautions, special care and doubts about the possible risk when using the
product. Also special care with storage and transportation.
-
Do not try to sterilize the thermometer with heat or boiling water.
-
Change the old battery and throw it away conveniently.
-
Avoid any exposure of the thermometer at high temperature, dust, humidity, excessive
light and sunlight.
-
During the measuring process the person will be sitting or lying and the thermometer
will be hold by hand.
-
The temperature must be measure by an adult.
-
If the temperature is out of the thermometer’s limits (between 32
o
C and 42
o
C) it will
show “Err” when it is below
32
o
C and over 43
o
C.
-
If you need to measure the temperature again turn it off and follow the instructions.
How to clean the thermometer
The thermometer sensor can be cleaned with water and soap or a mixture of alcohol /
propane (70%). Never deep the product in liquids and do not sterilize it. The contact with
the liquids at the electronic components will provoke a short circuit and damage the
thermometer.
Special care
- In some people the oral measurement may take longer than 60 seconds, especially after
eating cold food or drinking cold beverage or any other factor that may delay the point of
stabilization.
- The normal body temperature is between 36,1
o
C and 37,2
o
C. Normally our temperature
is lower during the day. In order to know your normal temperature make some
measurements at night and in the morning.
Attention:
The temperature measured through the rectum can be up to 0,5
o
C higher than
the temperature measured orally and the temperature measured by armpit could be 0,5
o
C
higher than the oral temperature.
