Cleaning
There is a cleaning opening in the flue pipe bend.
– Unscrew the cover and remove the soot from the flue pipe in both directions. You can use
an old hand brush for this purpose. Loose soot and ash must be cleaned from the interior
of the stove.
– For this purpose, remove all loose components.
– The chimney must also be cleaned regularly by the chimney sweep. Your local master
chimney sweep will provide you with information regarding the necessary intervals.
• The slow combustion stove should be checked regularly by an expert.
The slow combustion stoves has been coated with a high heat-resistant paint, as described
above. If the colour burns in after multiple heating operations, the surface can be cleaned with
a slightly moistened cleaning cloth.
After long-term operation, the colour above the combustion chamber may bleach out. These
areas can be retreated with spray paint (available at the DIY market) after being cleaned with a
fine steel wool (please do not under any circumstances use abrasive paper!).
In case of wood that has been incorrectly filled or wood that is moist, the sightglass in the com-
bustion chamber door could become covered in soot. In case of a light coating, the sightglass
can be cleaned using glass cleaner. Use only commercial, non-scratching glass cleaner. Clean
the glass only when it is cold. A solid, thick coating can be removed with oven cleaner.
Cleaning and care
At least once a year or more if necessary, you should clean and care for your stove when it is
cold. In the process, remove ash deposits in the flue pipe and on the smoke deflection plates
and/or draught deflection plates. Draught deflection plates made of ceramic fibres and/or ver-
miculite can be removed for cleaning (see the data sheet). Please put them back into place
carefully after cleaning. An ash vacuum cleaner with a fine particle filter is excellently suited for
cleaning flue gas pipes. Soiling on the sightglass pain can be removed in the best and most
environmentally friendly manner using a scouring pad that has been moistened in water and
dipped in the ash or other commercial glass cleaners.

Danger from product damage!
Make sure that the ash box is emptied in a timely manner. The protrusion of the ash hill
into the grid must be avoided. The fire grid thus no longer cools sufficiently and
deforms.

The slow combustion stove and flue pipes must be cleaned thoroughly as required, but
after every heating period at the latest.
