Directly dipped installation
2
1
Unscrew the closing screw from the special ball valve.
2
Place the enclosed O-ring on the assembly pin.
Only use one O-Ring.
When replacing sensors, replace the old O-ring with a new one.
3
Using the assembly pin, turn the O-ring into the bore hole of the screw plug with a
rotating movement.
4
Place the O-ring in its final position using the other end of the assembly pin.
5
Position the brass union piece on the sensor using the assembly pin and press the
grooved pin in flush..
6
Place the temperature sensor in the bore hole of the closing screw and tighten it
hand-tight
. Do not use any tools for this!
Installation in immersion pockets
Sensor immersion pockets are best installed in T-pieces with 45° or 90° angles. In the pro-
cess, the tip of the immersion pockets points against the flow direction and is located in
the middle of the flow. Sensor can only be used in combination with approved immersion
pockets!
1
Insert the temperature sensor into the immersion pockets as far as it goes.
2
Lock the temperature sensor or spacer. In doing so, only tighten the screw plug
hand-
tight
.
Final tasks
1
Apply seals to the union piece connectors and both temperature sensors.
2
Seal the upper and lower parts of the computer unit at a joint.
Cold meter radio 3
This chapter only describes the properties and functions of the cold meter which differ
from those of the heat meter.
Environmental conditions
•
Ambient temperature:
5 °C...55 °C
Installation information
•
As a rule, the computer unit should be installed separately from the volume measuring
section.
•
Insulate the volume measuring section diffusion-resistant after installation. This insulati-
on must be renewed each time the meter is replaced.
•
Meters for water-glycol mixtures cannot be calibrated.
•
Lay the connection lines from the volume measuring section and temperature sensors
to the computer unit with a drip loop.
Installation positions
•
Volume measuring section: ≤ 45° rotated in relation to the horizontal axle.
•
The casing must not be installed when facing upwards or downwards.
•
Only install the computer unit vertically, slanting or horizontally.
•
Always insert the sensor cable from below.
