Calibration-relevant heat meter seals may neither be damaged nor removed.
Otherwise the guarantee and calibration validity of the device is null and void.
1
Rinse the pipeline thoroughly.
2
Close the shut-off valves in the inlet and outlet.
3
Relieve the pipeline pressure.
4
If a volume measuring section / heat meter / adapter exists, remove it.
5
Remove old O-ring.
6
Check the sealing surfaces and threads are in perfect condition and clean with suitable
equipment, as necessary.
7
Clean the water meter’s O-ring.
8
Grease the connector's sealing surfaces lightly with tap grease.
!
Check the correct direction of flow: Arrow on the connector and on the plastic
lower part of the meter.
Take care to correctly fix the blind hole in the plastic lower part on the metal pin
in the base on the inside of the connector at the flow outlet (pin may be missing
in exceptional cases).
9
Screw the heat meter hand-tight and then tighten with a hook spanner up to the
metallic stop.
10
Seal the meter casing with black plastic seal.
11
Turn the compact meter to a position in which it is easily readable.
Installing the temperature sensors
!
The distance between the sensor cables and sources of electromagnetic interfe-
rence must be at least 300 mm.
Both sensors are installed in a special ball valve or in a immersion pocket authorised for
this type of sensor.
1
Remove the pressure from the sensor installation location.
2
Unscrew the union nut from the ball valve, special T-piece or connector or remove the
installed temperature sensor with the old O-ring.
3
Push the O-ring into the lowest bead cavity of the temperature sensor.
4
Push the temperature sensor into the ball valve or the T-piece and screw tight.
The temperature sensor must not touch the base of the ball valve, the T-piece or the
connector.
