Operating Instruction for the SWR/Power-meter

TEAM  SWR-1180 KA

This instrument is used to measure SWR and transmit power with two pointers.
The measurement of the SWR is possible in the frequency range of 1.8 - 60 MHz.
For the output power testing there are two ranges available: 20 and 200 W.
In addition the power measuring can be switched to peak and average indication. That is important for
SSB power measuring.
The use of two instruments provide direct reading of the SWR and transmit power values without
switching to forward and reflect.
Note: Power measurement can be made only in the frequency range from 26 to 30 MHz.
The display illumination can be switched on and off.

Installation for SWR and power measurement:

Connect the transceiver to the

[ Transm. ]

connector on the rear panel with a short coaxial cable ( 50

Ω

, approx. 60 cm ) and the antenna to the antenna connector

[ Antenne ]

. Now the instrument is well

installed for SWR and power measurement.
If the SWR value is higher than 2 : 1, please tune your antenna or check the antenna system for any
faults.

Description:

1)

For exact power measurement please use
only a 50

Ω

 load at the antenna connector.

2)

The left scale indicates the forward power
and the output power of the transceiver.

3)

The right scale indicates the reflected
power of the antenna.

4)

The cross-point of the two scales indicates
the effective SWR value.
