The charger’s red control LED indicates the operation mode.
If the red LED does not light up, please check the proper
connection between RX-EP-U and the power socket. 

The charging mode is indicated in the display of the RX-
EP-U with a red LED. 
Once charging of the battery is completed,
the red LED at the RX-EP-U goes off.

Please note: 
The charging cable cannot be used for programming the
RX-EP-U with the optional software T-UP18.

On / Off

To turn on the RX-EP-U hold the multi function key (3)
approximately 2 seconds until the display lights up. 

To turn off the RX-EP-U hold the multi function key (3)
until the display shuts off. 

Volume  

To set the desired volume level, please press the key 1.
In the upper right corner of the display appears the letter
V - volume and the the actual volume level (1-16) starts 

blinking in the display. Now, set the wanted volume level
(1-16) via the keys 1 & 2.
Confirm your selection by pressing the multi function key
(3) or wait approximately 5 seconds until the selection is
stored automatically. 

Channel Selection  

By default, the RX-EP-U is programmed with the eight
PMR channels. 
To set the desired channels, press the multi function key
(1) once. The channel no. starts blinking and the CTCSS
code is visible in the upper right corner. 
Select the desired channel with the keys 1 & 2 and con-
firm your selection by pressing the multi function key (3).

CTCSS 

38 CTCSS decodes can be individually assigned via
software or by manual selection. 
manual selection:To set a CTCSS code, press the multi
function key (3) twice. The actual CTCSS symbol in the
upper right corner of the display starts blinking. Select
the desired CTCSS code via key 1 & 2 and confirm your
selection by pressing the multi function key (3).
