Our  goods  come  with  guarantees  that  cannot  be  excluded  under  the  Australian  Consumer  Law.  You  are  entitled  to  a 
replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss  or damage. You 
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods  fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not 
amount to a major failure. 

 

1.

 

TE AC  warrants that this product is  free from defects  in material and workmanship under normal domestic  us e with reasonable c a re and skill.  
M aintenanc e  and  cleaning  (i. e.  laser  head)  is  not  c overed  by  this  warranty.  The  TE AC   warranty  only  applies  to  TE AC   products  purchas ed  
NE W  from a TE AC  Authoris ed R etailer in Australia. This warranty only applies to the original purc has er and c annot be transferred.  
 

2.

 

The  benefits  to the c onsumer  given by  this W arranty  are  in  addition to  other rights  and remedies  of the c ons umer  under  a  law  in relation  to 
goods or s ervic es to which the warranty relates, being the Australian C onsumer Law.  
 

3.

 

R efund  or  replac ement  via  your  TE AC   Authoris ed  R etailer  is  available  for  a  period  of  14  days  after  purchas e  for  goods  that  have  been 
inspec ted and determined to have a major failure. R efund and exchange is not applic able for change of mind.  

 
4.

 

S ubject  to  the  terms  herein,   this  warranty  effectively  c overs  TE AC   products,   exc luding  products  purchas ed  for  c ommercial  purposes ,   as  
specified in the W arranty P eriods Table below from the date of purchas e.

Authoris ed S ervic e C entre S ervic e 
The purchas er  is required to send the  product  at their  own  expens e to  the nearest TE AC   Authoris ed S ervic e C entre for repair.  In this  event,  
proof  of  purchas e  is  required  to  s upport  a  warranty  c laim.  After  the  repair,  the  product  will  be  available  for  c ollection  by  or  return  to  the 
purchaser at a fee upon request. TE AC  in-home s ervic e c an be made available at a fee upon request.

A 12-month replac ement warranty is applic able to all Acc essories such as R emotes , P ower Adapters and C ables.  

 
7.

 

TE AC  will ensure to the best of its abilities that all required parts are made available for any required s ervic e/repair.  
 

8.

 

TE AC   Australia  P ty  Ltd  and  its  Authoris ed  S ervic e  C entres  will  us e  their  best  endeavours  to  c omplete  product  repairs  within  a  reasonable 
period bas ed on available res ourc es and workload during the time when s ervic e is requested and performed.  
 

9.

 

R efurbis hed parts may be used to repair the product. In the c as e of a replac ement,  the product may be replac ed,  with a refurb ished unit of the 
same type or, if one is unavailable, a similar refurbished model  with equal or better features and specific ations.  
 

10.

 

P leas e  be  advis ed that  if the product  pres ented for repair  is c apable  of retaining  user-generated data, the data  may be  lost  during servicing.  
C ustomers are strongly enc ouraged to bac k up all important information/data before s ending the product in for s ervic e/repair.  

 
11.

 

S ervic e  will  be  provided  only during normal  business hours  and under s afety c onditions  and circumstanc es. TE AC   and  its  authoris ed servic e 
agents c an refus e any repair if safety, in relation to OH&S, becomes a concern to its staff or authorised service agents’ personnel. 

 

 
12.

 

The warranty is void and warranty claims may be refus ed, s ubject to the Australian C onsumer Law, if:   

a)

 

The product was  not transported, installed, operated or maintained according to manufacturer instruction, or  

b)

 

The product was  abused,  damaged, tampered, altered or repaired by any unauthoris ed pers ons, or 

c)

 

P roduct failure is due to accidents during us e,  installation or transit, power surges,  us e of defective or inc ompatible external devic es,  exposure 
to  abnormal  c onditions  such  as  exc essive  temperatures  or  humidity,  or  entry  of  liquids,  objec ts  or  creatures  into  the  product,  c ockroac h 
infestations, or  

d)

 

The customer is unable to provide proof of purchas e of the product for verific ation, or 

e)

 

The s erial number of the product is missing or has been tampered with.  

 
13.

 

W here any repairs or servic es required that are outside of the terms and c onditions of this W arranty are requested by the cus tomer, or where 
a fault is determined to be outside of the terms and c onditions of the W arranty,  the customer shall be charged for the c ost of the repair.  
 

14.

 

N o  one  is  authoris ed to  assume  any liability  on  behalf  of TE AC   or  impos e  any  obligation  on it,  in c onnection  with the sale  of  any  equipment 
other than as stated in this warranty and outlined above.  
 

15.

 

TE AC  and/or its Authoris ed S ervic e C entres res erve the right to inspect and verify whether the product is exhibiting a major failure as claimed 
by c ustomers/retailers.
