Replacing the Optical Fiber (ACO64)
The FORJ assembly can be removed and re-installed by the user to replace the optical
fi
ber.
To remove a currently installed FORJ:
Use a 3/32" Allen Hex driver to remove the two screws securing the
fi
ber optic rotary joint to
the commutator face.
Use the hex driver to remove the two screws securing the encoder clamping plates.
Carefully pull the FORJ away from the commutator face until the
fi
ber is free.
The two con
fi
gurations use different screws, so be sure to save all screws.
