Cooling capacity required-BTU/Hr.
If area to be cooled includes a kitchen, add 1,000 BTU/Hr.
If more than two people occupy area, add 600 BTU/Hr. per person.
If only one person, subtract 600 BTU/HR.
How to read the cooling Selection Guide
1. Determine area to be cooled in sqare feet.
Locate that point on the left side of the Cooling Selection Guide.
2. Move horizontally across to Band A, B or C, according to ceiling condition in the area to be cooled as follows:
- Band A: Occupied space above ceiling
- Band B: Insulated ceiling under attic
- Band C: Non-insulated ceiling unter attic
This "band" on the Selection Guide indicates a range of BTU/Hr. capacity normally required to cool such an area.
11. The coordination coefficient of cooling capacity
You can use the cooling selection guide chart to determine the size unit best suited for the consumer's
application.
