PROBLEM POSSIBLE REASON SOLUTION
Water drips from the sole. The residual steam in the
steam hose has cooled down
and condensed. Place the iron on the base
and leave to steam for a few
minutes
Steam/water comes out of the
calci
fi cation fi lter cap.
The calci fi cation fi lter cap is not
properly closed.
Turn o ff the appliance and let it
cool down for at least 2 hours.
Unscrew the cap of the anti-
scale
fi lter and insert it again.
Note: when unscrewing the cap,
some water will come out of the
fi lter, so it is recommended to
keep a container at hand.
Dirty water comes out of the
sole Impurities or chemicals present
in the water may have deposi-
ted in the steam ducts and/or
boiler plates. Use distilled water. Clean the
soleplate and the boiler as
described in the corresponding
chapters.
No steam comes out of the
sole. Too much limescale and mine-
rals have built up in the steam
generator. Clean the boiler as described in
the respective sections.
The iron leaves a shiny mark on
the clothes. The surface to be ironed is
uneven. For example: seams or
folds of clothes. Avoid ironing seams or folds.
Put a piece of cotton cloth on
the ironing area to avoid leaving
a mark.
The ironing centre does not
produce steam. There is not enough water in
the tank (the low water warning
light comes on).
The water tank is not perfectly
positioned. Fill the water tank and press
the steam trigger to heat up the
appliance again.
Put the water tank back in until
you hear a “click”.
Low steam The boiler is not hot enough to
generate steam. Wait until the iron ready indica-
tor LED stops
fl ashing.
The ironing centre produces a
pumping sound. This is normal as the centre
pumps water to the steam
generator. If the pumping sound conti-
nues, switch o
ff and unplug the
ironing centre.
The ironing centre generates
a strong, intermittent pumping
sound. Not enough water in the tank
(low water warning light comes
on). Fill the water tank and press the
steam trigger to let the applian-
ce heat up again.
When the “iron ready” indicator
light stops
fl ashing you can
continue ironing.
