• Prepare the appliance according to the function
you wish to use:
USE:
• Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Push the ON/OFF button (K)
• The LED display will switch on and it will run
power function by default.
• Push the function button (F) to change between
power and temperature modes.
• Choose the wanted power or temperature by
using the “+” and “-“ buttons. (H,I)
• Once you selected, the appliance will be ready
to work.
CAUTION: Always use compatible utensils with
induction system. If not, the result will not be as
the wanted.
NOTE: In order to minimize the generation of
acrylamide during the cooking process, avoid
reaching dark brown colours on the foodstuffs.
TIMER FUNCTION:
• The appliance’s operating time can be contro-
lled.
Model PI400
• To program the operating time simply select it
using the timer button.
• When the Time pilot turns on, use “+” (+10min)
and “-“ (-1min) buttons to choose the needed
time.
• The time programmed or remaining time will
appear on the LED display.
• When the time ends, the appliance will turn off.
Model PI410
• To program the operating time simply select it by
clicking 3 times the function button.
• Program the time by using “+” and “-“ buttons.
• Once you choose a time, the remaining time will
appear in the LED display.
• When the time ends, the appliance will turn off.
SAFETY LOCK:
• The appliance has a Lock security system.
• To activate this function click on the lock button
(G) when appliance while the appliance is
plugged.
• To deactivate this function, push during 2 sec
the same button
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE
APPLIANCE:
• Stop the appliance using the on/off switch.
• Don’t unplug the appliance right when it has
finished. The fan will keep working in order to
cool down the appliance.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains.
• Clean the appliance.
CAUTION: The appliance has a Standby system.
In order to save energy, the appliance passes
to stand-by after 2 hours if the user does not
use it.
SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR:
• The appliance has a safety device, which pro-
tects the appliance from overheating.
• If the appliance turns itself off and does not
switch itself on again, disconnect it from the
mains supply, and wait for approximately 15
minutes before reconnecting. If the machine
does not start again seek authorised technical
assistance.
SPECIAL MESSAGES:
• The following messages can appear on the
screen:
- E0 ► Use of wrong, too small pot. To solve it
use a correct size pot.
- E1, E2 ► NTC Open / Short Circuit. Return the
appliance to repair.
- E3, E4 ► Voltage too low / too high. Connect
the appliance to a right power outlet.
- E5 ► Ceramic Plate is overheated. Allow the
device to cool down.
- E6 ► Overheating protection. Allow the applian-
ce to cool down.
PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
• Use cookware suitable for the size of the hot-
plate.
• Do not use excess water to cook foods. The
more water used, the more energy needed.
• Whenever possible use a pressure cooker, it
saves time and energy.
• Switch the hotplates on only when the cookware
is ready and switch them off before removing it.
• Cookware must be flat.
• Use cookware suitable for the amount being
cooked. Large pots used for small amounts
increase power consumption.
• Cooking without using the lid for the cookware
increases power consumption.
