1. INTRODUCTION
-
The following Installation Manual apply ex-
clusively to the model PFL-0335-TG y PFL-
0340-TG modules only.
-
This Installation Manual contains important
information that you must know before hand-
ling, installing TAURUS RENOVABLES Mo-
dules. Failure to comply with the instructions
may cause unexpected product damage,
product failure, and/or serious bodily injury
or death,
-
This Manual does not constitute a warranty,
expressed or implied. TAURUS RENOVA-
BLES does not assume responsibility and
expressly disclaims liability for loss, dama-
ge, or expense arising out of or in any way
connected with installation, operation, use or
maintenance of the Modules.
2. SAFETY
-
Any work on solar modules should follow
general safety standards, local codes and
should always be carried out by an appro-
priately qualified person.
-
Do not work alone.
-
Do not perform installation during rain, heavy
wind or snowy day. It may result in bodily in-
jury or death.
-
Do not touch the electrical active parts of the
module without proper safety devices.,
-
Do not connect or disconnect the module
when it is exposed to light or connected to
external power sources.
-
Do not install the module if it is damaged or
broken. Failure to comply may result in elec-
tric shock.
-
Do not short leads together. In case of they
being shorted, cover the module completely
with opaque material to obscure all light befo-
re attempting to disconnect the cables.
-
Do not concentrate sunlight (e.g. mirrors or
lenses) or other sources of artificial light on
the modules.
-
Do not open or repair junction box or cables
connected to it.
-
3. MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
Site Consideration
-
TAURUS RENOVABLES modules should be
installed in a proper site where:
-
Operating Temperature Range: -40 °C to
+90°C.
-
No shadowing from overhead vegetation or
buildings.
-
Modules can withstand high wind environ-
ments when securely attached to a substrate
such that the module does not flap with the
wind.
-
No direct contact with corrosive gases or li-
quids.
-
Not near flammable or explosive substances.
Module Mounting Methods
-
Keep the modules in their original packaging
until the moment of their installation.
-
The module may be handled by the edge, but
only if it is held vertically and without exerting
excessive or multiple bending.
-
Check each module before starting the ins-
tallation operation. No damaged or broken
modules should be used.
-
Do not untied the wires that fixed the cables
on the module.
-
Do not use the junction box or the connection
cable as a handle.
-
Do not drop heavy or sharp items onto the
modules.
-
Modules should be handled without excess
bending (Do not bend modules with a radius
of less than 480 mm) or bending at sharp an-
gles or twisting of the panels.
-
To secure modules, use Heavy Duty Zip Ties
which are made of corrosion resistant mate-
rial and for outdoor use.
