11 – Internal settings

View the synchronization signal status and set timecode
output on this page.
STATUS
This shows the status of synchronization signals.
TIMECODE IN:
When timecode is received, the timecode frame rate
is shown.
WORD/VIDEO IN:
When a synchronization signal is received through
this connector, WORD, VIDEO or TriLevel is shown.
TC Out Mode
Use the buttons to set the timecode output mode.
GenOut button:
Timecode from the internal timecode generator is
output.
PlayOut button (default):
In timeline mode, the timecode time for playback
and recording is output. In take and playlist modes,
the timecode recorded in the file is output during
playback.
Remote settings (REMOTE SETUP)
Make settings for the PARALLEL, RS-232C, RS-422 and
ETHERNET connectors.
The
REMOTE SETUP
screen has 5 pages: GENERAL,
PARALLEL, RS-232C, RS-422 and ETHERNET.
Touch a tab at the bottom of the screen to open the
corresponding page.
GENERAL page (Remote settings)
Make common external remote control settings on this
page.
Flash Start Key Method
Set how the flash start keys operate.
Flash Start (default):
Touching a flash start key starts flash playback.
Standby:
When stopped, touch a flash start key to enter
playback standby. Then, press the PLAY key to start
playback.
During playback, touching another flash start key
causes the corresponding take or entry to be cued
for playback (without stopping the currently playing
entry). Press the PLAY key to start playback of that
entry. If the Play Mode is set to All Take, when the
currently playing entry completes playback, the cued
entry starts playback. If the Play Mode is set to One
Take, when the currently playing entry completes
playback, the cued entry is enters playback standby.
NOTE
When an RC-HS20PD is connected, this setting is fixed to
Flash Start and cannot be changed to Standby.
FADER MODE
Set whether faders on external TASCAM HS32PD/
RC-HS20PD remote controllers (sold separately), for
example, are enabled or disabled. When set to Disable,
the internal fader is fixed at 0 dB.
Setting buttons: Disable, Enable (default)
FADER Start MODE
When the fader start function of an external remote
controller is ON, this enables or disables the fader
start function, which allows you to start playback from
playback standby by raising the fader from –∞.
Setting buttons: Disable, Enable (default)
FADER Stop MODE
When the fader start function of an external remote
controller is ON, this enables or disables the fader stop
