Power supply connector & outputs
1 - FAN:
This amplifier has one internal fan, and cannot be blocked. For perfect operating, the amplifier must be
installed in a ventilated place. Don't block the ventilation holes, keep a minimum ventilation area surrounding
the amplifier. Otherwise, the thermal protection can trip due to excessive heating.
2 - LOW OUT:
Output for low frequency loudspeakers connection. The frequency response is set by X-Over
adjustments, and the its level is set by LOW LEVEL adjustment. Follow the polarity and minimum recommended
impedance. To combine loudspeakers, the resulting impedance must be taken into account.
3 - HIGH OUT:
Output for high frequency transducers connection (horns and tweeters). The frequency response
is set by LOW/HIGH adjustment in the X-Over section, and the level is set by HIGH LEVEL adjustment. Follow the
polarity and minimum recommended impedance. To combine loudspeakers, the resulting impedance must be
taken into account.
4 - POSITIVE POWER SUPPLY TERMINAL:
Use a 4 AWG (21mm²) cable directly from the positive battery
terminal with fuse (150A), as close as possible to the battery.
It is recommended that all cables must have tinned ends to improve electrical contact.
5 - REMOTE TERMINAL:
The remote Head Unit output must be connected by a 0,75mm² (18 AWG) cable.
6 - NEGATIVE POWER SUPPLY TERMINAL:
A 4 AWG (21mm²) cable as short as possible must be used,
connected to the negative battery pole.
Blue LED steady on:
Red LED flashes 2x:
Indicates that the amplifier is turned on.
Flashing yellow LED:
Excessive temperature (May be caused by obstruction of the internal fan,
improper installation or poorly ventilated location).
In case of amplifier overheating, the thermal protection will trip the audio output. The yellow led
will flash continuosly and the internal fan will run at maximum speed. Once the amplifier is back to
a safe operation temperature, it will resume the normal operation.
Don't turn off the amplifier when in thermal protection state. Due to internal fan, the cooling
time could be shorter than waiting with the amplifier turned off.
Red LED:
Short-circuit or impedance lower than that supported at output.
Blinking yellow LED according to music:
Indicates that the amplifier is operating at the
threshold of distortion. If the red LED also blinks, it indicates excessive distortion.
Supply voltage less than 9V.
Red LED flashes 3x:
Power supply voltage greater than 16V.
