Charging port: Use only the charger provided with the unit.

Connect: Connects the iPad to the Laser II unit.

Level: Advanced feature that requires additional instruction. Not necessary for general operation.

Add Photo: Use this to attach the order information and manual measurements by photographing the completed order form.

Scan Mode - Fast: Use this mode for perimeter measurements on simple pool shapes. This mode records 800 points in
3 min. 20 sec.

Scan Mode - Slow: Use this mode for complex pool shapes, stair and bench measurements. This mode records up to 1600
points in 7 minutes.

Stop: Use only if you need to interrupt the scan process before it is complete.

Send Data: Use this once you are finished scanning the pool. An email will open. You can include additional information in the
body of the email. Send the email to complete your order.
SAFE OPERATING PROCEDURES

look into the laser beam and

point at other persons.

open the unit. Doing so, will void the warranty and requires the unit to be returned to Tara Manufacturing for
recalibration.

. As this is a precision instrument, it should be transported and carried in its case and handled with care at all times.

immerse the device in water or other fluids.

Wipe off dirt and smudges with a damp tissue or soft, clean, lint-free cotton cloth.

use aggressive cleaning agents or solutions.

Whenever possible, store the device in a dry, shady location.
USE
1. Download the Tara Laser II app
Visit the Apple app store and search for Tara Laser II app. Download the app onto an iPhone or iPad. When prompted, allow
access to Location, Camera and Photos.
You must have the Apple Email app configured to send data.

3. Scanning Conditions
(a) The optimal measuring condition is in the morning or evening and if the walls
of the pool are in shadow.
(b) Measuring errors can occur when the target surface reflects too intensely
(e.g. a mirror) or insufficiently (e.g. black fabric), or the ambient light is too bright.
