Back Can Installation

Read
a

the
instructions
before
starting.
1.
Locate
a
suitab
l
e
mounting
position
for
the
l
oudspeaker
that
wi
ll
off
er
optimum
acoustic
performance
for
the
l
istening
environment
and
audio
system,
and
that
is
a
l
so
practica
l
and
aesthetica
ll
y
p
l
easing.
2.
A
ll
ow
enough
room
for
the
speaker
wire
to
enter
the
bottom
cab
l
e
g
l
and,
and
with
enough
room
to
tighten
the
screws
that
ho
l
d
the
brackets
to
the
back
can.
3.
I
nsta
ll
the
four
brackets
onto
the
wa
ll
studs,
and
make
sure
the
distance
between
the
top
and
bottom
brackets
is
as
shown
in
F
ig.
1.
4.
With
the
he
l
p
of
an
assistant,
carefu
ll
y
l
ift
the
back
can
between
the
brackets
(
F
ig.
2),
with
the
cab
l
e
entry
at
the
bottom.
5.
Make
sure
that
the
back
can
is
p
l
umb
and
l
eve
l
,
and
its
front
face
is
fl
ush
with
the
front
face
of
the
wa
ll
studs.
Screw
the
4
brackets
to
the
back
can.
6.
Note:
I
f
you
insta
ll
the
back
can
with
the
cab
l
e
entry
at
the
top,
then
the
four
sma
ll
brackets
that
accept
the
speaker
assemb
l
y
screws,
need
to
be
rotated
through
180
degrees.
Undo
the
2
sma
ll
screws,
and
re-orient
each
sma
ll
bracket
as
shown
(
F
ig.
2b).
Wiring the Back Can
WARNING:
T
o
avoid
potentia
l
damage
to
your
l
oudspeaker,
ensure
that
the
amp
l
ifier
is
switched
O
FF
prior
to
connecting
or
disconnecting
any
cab
l
es.
WARNING:
Before
switching
the
amp
l
ifier
ON,
doub
l
e
check
that
a
ll
connections
are
secure
and
that
the
po
l
arity
is
correct.
T
he
speaker
wire
connections
are
made
to
the
interna
l
termina
l
s
inside
the
back
can.
T
here
are
two
interna
l
tubes
that
a
ll
ow
the
speaker
wiring
to
be
inserted
and
to
come
out
near
the
speaker
termina
l
s
inside
the
back
can.
T
he
speaker
termina
l
s
are
pre-wired
to
an
interna
l
connector
which
attaches
to
the
speaker
assemb
l
y
when
it
is
insta
ll
ed.
T
he
speaker
termina
l
s
are
designed
to
take
substantia
l
high
qua
l
ity
l
oudspeaker
cab
l
e.

Remove
the
cover
from
the
back
can
by
undoing
the
four
screws
ho
l
ding
it
in
p
l
ace
(

ig.

nsta
ll
the
speaker
wire
in
through
one
of
the
cab
l
e
g
l
ands,
and
l
eave
enough
s
l
ack
to
make
the
connections
(
F
ig.
4).
T
ighten
the
cab
l
e
g
l
and,
and
tie
down
the
speaker
cab
l
e
to
prevent
it
moving
and
ratt
l
ing
in
operation.
Make
sure
that
the
speaker
cab
l
e
does
not
come
into
contact
with
nai
l
s
or
screws
that
might
damage
the
insu
l
ation.
A
second
cab
l
e

l
and
is
provided
to
a
ll
ow
a
second
speaker
cab
l
e
run
to
be
insta
ll
ed.
