Frame Sub-Assembly

Use the below line drawings as a reference to the basic layout of the frame. Join parts 1
and 2 together. Then join parts 3 to one set of the side frame reference figure 1. Check to make
sure parts 3 are square to parts 1&2. Once you have checked this then glue the second frame
set to parts 3. You now can test fit the wood decking into the basic frame. The fit will be tight
and there should be no gaps on the sides or ends. Next test fit parts 4 to the locating bars on the
insides of parts 1&2. Part 4 should drop right in without pushing the frame sides out. If this
happens then you’ll have 4 waves in your frame and the deck will have gaps. If you need to trim
part 4 then note that you’ll need to remove an equal amount from both sides so the truck
locating pin remains centered in the car. For example if you need to remove a total of 4mm then
you must remove 2mm from either side. See figure 2 for the completed frame.
