Instruction Manual: TT1260 Standard Definition Professional Receiver/Decoder

ST.TM.E10100.1

Frame Synchronisation

A BNC socket is used by the Decoder to frame

lock to an external video source. The frame

information is input as a composite synchronise

signal, with or without active video. The user can

offset the synchronisation to the video output by

±8 lines, with a resolution of 1 pixel. Lip sync

error introduced by the Receiver is in the range –

10ms to +30ms. This implies audio frame skip

and repeat.

The video and audio can be synchronised to an

analogue studio reference signal. This supports

both 625 and 525 frame locking.

This F Sync is activated through the Service menu

(#3). The specification for this connector is given

in Section B.4.4, Frame Sync Connector.
