Programming the radio datafile
5.
Launch Tait TP3000 programming application and click the
‘New’ button.

Select the appropriate radio model and click the
‘OK’ button to create a default datafile.
Alternatively, click the
‘Open’ button to load an existing radio data file with matching model
and frequency range settings.
7.
Click the
‘Write’ button to program the datafile to the radio.
Testing the radio
Test the radio, particularly after converting from a 0-Key to a 4-Key or 16-Key model; a radio
with a display and a keypad allows the user to access menu and functions such as Text
Message. Please refer to “Features of each keypad option” (Table 1) on

For a 4-Key model, check the Menu (left) and Selection (right) Key. If nothing happens
when you press those keys, the radio may have been programmed as a 0-Key radio.

For a 16-Key model, press keys [0 to 9] and the hash key [#]. If nothing happens when you
press those keys, the radio may have been programmed as a 0-Key or a 4-Key.
