Accessing Channels and
Channel Banking
In order to make and receive calls you first need to select
a channel. The procedure for selecting a channel varies
depending on how your radio has been programmed.
About Channel Banking
Channel banking is an optional feature that allows easy
access to large numbers of channels by grouping them
into ‘banks’. This feature will be of benefit if you
regularly access a large number of channels, or frequently
change repeaters.
Selecting Channels and Channel Banks
Channels and channel banks can be accessed in different
ways, depending on how your radio has been
programmed.
Note: You cannot change channels while
transmitting.
Using the 16-way selector
Note: The 16-way selector does not operate
in menu mode.
The 16-way selector may be programmed to either:
■

OR
■
