The HDIT-850D-36M is equipped with two
removable
36GB Ultra Wide SCSI hard
drives,
(See Figures 1 & 2)
.
TAG has configured the removable drives with the follow-
ing SCSI ID’s: The left drive, is SCSI ID #0 and the right drive, is SCSI ID # 1. Depend-
ing on the configuration, the drives may not be hot-swappable. If the HDIT-850D-
36M is configured to mirror the two drives, then the drives may
NOT
be removed
while the unit is powered up. If the HDIT-850D-36M is configured to utilize just the
two drives, then the system drive (holding the O/S) can
NOT
be removed while the
system is running (hot). The other drive may be removed while the system is running.
NOTE: If you are unsure of the system configuration, power down the unit
to remove either drive.
To remove either drive, insert the hard drive module key and turn the keylock
clockwise to the unlocked position. Grab the handle and slide the drive out. Insert
the replacement drive into the HDIT-850D-36M and turn the keylock counter-
clockwise to the locked position.
