F1 Mode
Displays the timing of an event in
minutes-seconds-thousandths of a
second and the main time while timing
is in progress. The F1 mode
(fig. 6)
is
indicated for 3 seconds, followed by
the number of the timed lap.
This mode enables the wearer to time,
for example, several laps (80 laps maximum)
of an F1 race. The different lap times are memorized and can then be consulted
in
”BEST LP (Best Lap) mode”.
The timing of a lap can be interrupted and the
timing operation restarted without losing information about the previous laps.
1/100
ths
and 1/1000
ths
of seconds are only displayed for the duration of each
lap and for the total time. They are replaced by dashes when the digits dis-
play the current timing.
In F1 mode, the functions of the push buttons are:
A
= - starts the timing and timing of successive laps (previous lap in memory)
- starts the timing again after a pause
B
short pressure = stops the timing, without memorizing the last lap*
This operation displays the total timing (TOT)
B
long pressure = zero reset of the timing, once the latter has stopped
C
= backlight for 6 seconds
D
= enables the wearer to access a different mode, without
having to interrupt the timing

*
Note:
the time between the last pressure on A and the pressure on B is not
memorized, as indicated in the diagram below. To time one lap only, the wearer
must start with A, put A in memory and then stop the timing with B.
1
st
lap:
- The lap time is displayed at the top
(minutes-seconds-1/1000
th
of a second)
- Main time on the bottom left hand-side
- Lap number on the bottom right-hand
side (01)
The time is always displayed on the
bottom left-hand side during the timing
operation
(fig. 8).
* Note:
the maximum timekeeping for
one lap is 59 mins 59 secs and 999 thousandths.
Beyond this limit, timekeeping stops automatically.
