If applicable, the Coral system is shipped to the customer with the 32GC card(s) 

installed in the control shelf slot(s). However, there are instances where a card is 

removed and/or replaced. 

For information on how to insert and remove a 32GC card from the cage, see 

Inserting 

and Removing a Control Card, page 8-9

.

After installing the 32GC card, perform the following:

1.

Verify that DIP switches on the front panel of the 32GC card are positioned 

away from the numbers. See 

Figure 8-20

.

2.

The SAU device and its corresponding CFD memory card are shipped in their 

own coral software box. Two separate coral software boxes are provided for 

redundant Coral FlexiCom 6000/R HSB systems: one for the right side and on 

e for the left side of the control shelf.

3.

Verify that the serial number of the SAU matches the serial number on the 

CFD card inserted in the MCP-ATS on 

this

 side of the control shelf. The 

numbers must match 

exactly

, otherwise the system will automatically shut 

down after 14 days.

4.

Attach the SAU to the connector on the front panel of the 32GC. Use a #2 

(1/8” or 4mm) straight-blade screwdriver to tighten the two screws securing 

the SAU until just snug. 

Repeat this step for each 32GC in the system.
