Troubleshooting
Machine does not switch on
Cause:
Mains leads not plugged in correctly.
Remedy:
Check connection, push connector in firmly.
Device responds correctly to operation via the buttons directly on the device, but
cannot be operated by remote control
Cause:
The battery of the FM200 remote control is completely discharged.
Remedy:
Insert a new battery as described in the Remote control chapter.
The RDS station name and/or the Radio Text does not appear in the display.
Cause 1:
Reception is poor, interference is severe, or the field strength (signal strength) is low.
Remedy:
Select only those stations which can be received with a strong signal: hiss-free and without interference.
Cause 2:
The display view is in the large format setting.
Remedy:
Switch to the detailed display view using the i key on the device. If necessary, tap several times to switch
on the radio text.
One or more sources cannot be selected via the source selection buttons on the
device and the remote control
Cause :
The source in question has been disabled.
Remedy:
Enter the system settings menu and enable the disabled source.
The CD in the disc drive can‘ t be ejected properly
Cause :
The CD may not be readable properly (Wrong format or damaged)
Remedy:
Press and hold the eject button on the device for about 10 seconds until the CD is ejected.
Many problems have a simple cause and a correspondingly simple solution. The following section describes a few
difficulties you may encounter, and the measures you need to take to cure them. If you find it impossible to solve
a problem with the help of these notes please disconnect the unit from the mains and ask your authorised T+A
specialist dealer for advice.
