Precautions
1. For AC operation, make sure the voltage is compatible. Always use the provided AC power cord; never
use other AC power cord.
For DC operation, simply insert two “UM1” – “R20” 1.5V type batteries for unit operation.
2. Always disconnect the AC power cord from the AC power source when it is not in use or when DC power
is operating.
3. Do not leave the batteries in the compartment for a long time. Remove the batteries to avoid leakage and
damage. If the unit is not going to be used over a long period of time, remove the batteries and store the
unit in a safe place.
4. Do not expose the unit to extreme temperature nor high humidity to ensure normal functioning for a long
lifetime.
5. If you find the unit is not working properly, please contact Sytech Service Center. Under any
circumstances do not attempt to repair the unit by yourself as this may result in the risk of electro
locution and will void the warranty.
Using the radio
Operation guide
1. Open the battery compartment and insert 2 pcs of ‘UM1’- ‘R20’ 1.5V type batteries. Insert the batteries
according to their correct polarities as shown on the markings inside the battery compartment. If you do
not wish to use the radio with batteries, please use the AC cable power supply. Plug the accessory power
cord into the AC socket (5), and plug the AC power into a wall outlet
2. Turn the power/band knob to “ON” to begin using the unit
3. Select AM /FM band program to begin listening to the radio.
4. Rotate the volume knob (8) and select the desired volume level.
5. Rotate the tuning knob (7), observe the frequency indicator window and the pointer, and select the radio
program you wish to listen to.
6. When listening to the FM band radio, fully extend the antenna (2) and get the best reception by changing
the length and angle of the antenna.
7. Listening to the AM band is done using the internal magnetic antenna, which can be rotated to get the
best listening experience.
8. You may wish to use this unit with earphones. Connect the earphones into the earphone jack (9) (the
speaker inside the unit is automatically disconnected). You can now listen to the radio with your earphones.
9. When the radio reception becomes poor or the sounds is too low, please open the battery compartment
(6) and replace the batteries.
10. If you wish to turn off the unit, simply turn the power/band switch (8) to the “OFF” position. Always make
sure to unplug the AC power cord as well when not in use.
Note: During operation, the product may have radio interference which is caused by electromagnetic
waves such as y mobile phones, TV, Neon light, etc.. Use the radio keeping in mind there is enough
separation between the radio and the interfering appliances.
