Remove the RAM Module from DiskStation

Follow step 1 to 3 of the “Install the RAM Module” section to reveal the motherboard of your DiskStation.

Remove the RAM module.

Open the ejectors on the memory slot and push them out to the sides.

Hold the memory module by its notches and remove it from the slot.

Follow step 5 to 6 of the “Install the RAM Module” section to replace the inner panel and the covers of your
DiskStation.
Add a Network Interface Card on DiskStation
Your DiskStation has a PCI Express expansion slot which allows you to install 10G/E or Gigabit network interface
card for LAN port expansion.
To replace the long bracket with the short one:
You need to replace the long bracket (suited for PC) in your network interface card
with the short bracket before installing the card on your DiskStation.

Unscrew the 2 screws in the long bracket on your network interface card, and then remove the bracket.

Replace the long bracket with the short one, and tighten the 2 screws to secure the short bracket.
