Preparations
The
Volatus
200
is
a
monaural
power
amplifier.
Each
left
and
right
audio
channel
is
operated
by
a
separate
amplifier
unit
in
order
to
achieve
the
best
stereo
channel
isolation
and
audio
playback.
Install
Volatus
200
on
a
rigid
and
stable
platform.
A
vibration
‐
free
platform
will
help
to
extract
optimal
sonic
performance.
Connect
the
Volatus
200
to
the
mains
with
an
AC
power
cord.
Always
use
an
AC
power
cord
with
ground
wire.
The
Volatus
200
must
be
earthed,
both
for
safety
and
sonic
reasons.
To
get
the
best
sound
quality,
make
sure
that
all
your
Hi
‐
Fi
equipments
are
operated
from
one
mains
socket.
To
prevent
accidental
short
circuit,
connect
and
secure
all
audio
cable
and
speaker
cable
before
powering
on
the
amplifier.
Both
balanced
and
unbalanced
inputs
are
equipped
in
the
Volatus
200.
A
balanced
XLR
cable
is
preferred
for
the
best
sound
quality.
The
symmetrical
instrumental
audio
input
circuit
of
the
Volatus
200
will
also
provide
decent
common
mode
noise
rejection
even
when
an
unbalanced
RCA
cable
is
used.
Use
the
input
toggle
switch
on
the
rear
panel
to
select
balanced
or
unbalanced
input.
Avoid
connecting
both
balanced
and
unbalanced
input
at
the
same
time.
XLR
to
RCA
adaptor
plug
is
not
recommended.
