Router Mode Configuration

Introduction
This chapter provides information on configuring the GoWide 4.6 in Router mode.
PC Configuration
Note:
Ensure that an Ethernet card is installed in the PC.
Note:
The figures illustrating PC configuration are Windows 98 screen captures.
For Windows 95/NT 4.0/2000/XP, please refer to the appropriate user manual.
To configure a PC to communicate with the GoWide 4.6, do the following:
1. Establish a TCP/IP connection to the GoWide device. This is done by clicking the
Start button and selecting Settings , Control Panel , and Network .
2. Click the Network Configuration tab, select the TCP/IP protocol, and click OK
(Figure 29).

3. In the TCP/IP Properties page, enter the Gateway IP address. See Figure 30.
Note:
In Router mode, the Gateway IP address is the same as the GoWide 4.6 LAN
port address.
