LS 4000P Series Product Reference Guide
Beep on <BEL>
When this parameter is enabled, the scanner issues a beep when a <BEL> character is detected
on the RS-232C serial line. <BEL> is issued to gain a user's attention to indicate an illegal
entry or other important event.

Intercharacter Delay
Select the intercharacter delay option matching host requirements. The intercharacter delay
gives the host system time to service its receiver and perform other tasks between characters.
The delay period can range from no delay to 99 msec in 1-msec increments. After scanning
the bar code below, scan two bar codes beginning on page 5-110 to set the desired time-out.
If you make an error or wish to change your selection, scan CANCEL on page 5-112.
