Menu option field descriptions
Setup Options panel
The Setup Options panel lets you indicate whether the security gateway will be used as a standalone
security gateway or will be a member of a cluster.
You can also initiate a restore from a backup image.
Associated tasks
The tasks that you can perform with this panel include:

“Restoring security gateway configuration files from the SGMI”
Content filtering
Indicates whether this option is enabled.
Content filtering lets you control Web access through the security gateway by
defining URLs, MIME types, and newsgroups to which you allow or deny user
access.
This option is checked by default if a license for content filtering is installed.
Antivirus
Indicates whether this option is enabled.
The antivirus feature lets you establish scanning and blocking policies for traffic
using the FTP, HTTP, SMTP, and POP3 protocols.
This option is checked by default if a license for Antivirus is installed.
Antispam
Indicates whether this option is enabled.
The antispam feature provides scanning processes that let you optimize spam
detection and reduce false positives. You can also configure how to respond to spam
email.
This option is checked by default if a license for Antispam is installed.
Intrusion detection and
prevention
Indicates whether this option is enabled.
The intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) feature uses hybrid detection
architecture to pinpoint malicious activities, identify intrusions in real-time, and
respond rapidly to both common and novel attacks.
This option is checked by default if a license for IDS/IPS is installed.
Hardware encryption
Indicates whether this option is enabled.
Hardware encryption for VPN tunnels is provided to improve system performance.
This option is checked by default.
Clientless VPN
Indicates whether clientless VPN access is enabled.
Clientless VPN enables portal-based, secure, authenticated, auditable, and
controlled access for remote clients. Users have access to email, shared network
files and resources, corporate applications, corporate intranets, and corporate Web-
based applications from any location.
This option is unchecked by default.
