The Metric “SMTP Server - Number of Messages Sent By
Mailer (SMTP) Solaris” enters retry state if the statistic file
/etc/mail/statistics does not exist.
In this case the metric is displayed in the Performance
Viewer with a value of "0".
This behavior occurs because the command used in metric
contains hardcoded 0 values which will be outputted even
if there is no statistic log.
By default all statistic is turned off. To turn statistic on the
administrator must create the statistic file: # touch
/etc/mail/statistic
