
Radio Operation
1. Slide the FUNCTION SELECTOR to RADIO position to turn on
radio.
2. Slide the BAND SWITCH to AM or FM as desire.
3. Turn the TUNING KNOB to receive the desired radio station.
4. Turn the VOLUME KNOB to adjust volume level.
5. When finished listening, slide the FUNCTION SELECTOR to TAPE
position to turn off the unit.
Antenna
AM - This unit has build in ferrite rod antenna, which provide adequate
reception in most areas. If reception is weak, turn the unit to improve
reception.
FM - The FM rod antenna is for FM reception only. If reception is
weak, adjust the length and the angle of the antenna.
PHONES Jack:
For private listening, insert a Headphone/Earbug (Not included) into
the PHONES Jack.
The speaker will disconnect automatically.
RECORDING
1. Slide the FUNCTION SELECTOR to TAPE position.
2. Press the ST
OP/EJECT
BUTTON to open the cassette door.
3. Insert a blank cassette tape in the slot on cassette door (Magnetic
tape face up).
Note: Make sure the erase prevention tab on the top of the tape had not
cut off as figure below. Otherwise, the tape can’t be used for recording.
4. Close the cassette door.
5. In stop mode. Press the REWINE or F.FWD BUTTON to select the
location on the tape where to start recording then press the STOP
Button to stop.
6. Press the RECORD BUTTON to start recording. Speak into the built
in microphone.
7. When finished. Press the STOP Button to stop recording and shut
off the unit.
NOTE: To record the radio program, slide the FUNCTION SELECTOR to
RADIO. Received the desired radio station as previously procedures then start
to record as point 1-7 as above.
Playback the recordings or music tape:
1. In stop mode. Press the REWIND or F.FWD BUTTON to locate the
section you start playback then press the STOP/EJECT BUTTON to
stop. Press the PLAY BUTTON to start playback.
2. Turn the VOLUME KNOB to adjust volume level as desire.
3. During playback, press the PAUSE BUTTON to pause, press again
to resume normal playback.
4.
When finished. Press the STOP/EJECT BUTTON to stop playback
and shut off the unit.
Cleaning the unit
• The
finish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared
for as other furniture. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the
plastic parts.
• Mild soap and a damp cloth m
ay be used on the front panel.
•
Periodic cleaning of the tape heads, capstan and pinch roller is
necessary to maintain good sound reproduction. Clean them after
every 100 hours of use or less if playback has deteriorated. Use a
cotton swab moistened with head cleaning solution or isopropyl
alcohol, then wipe dry with another swab.
NOTE: Never use metal objects on or near the tape heads. Do not
allow any cleaning material to fall into the tape assembly.

PREPARATION FOR USE
POWER SOURCE:
This unit can be powered by either AC power or four (4) “C” size batteries (not
included) as:
AC OPERATION:
To operate the unit using AC power, connect the small plug from the supplied AC
Adaptor to the AC IN Jack on the rear of unit. Plug the AC Adaptor to the AC
wall outlet having AC 120V~, 60 Hz.
NOTES: When using AC power, make sure all batteries were taken off from the
unit. Otherwise, batteries will consume very quick.
BATTERY OPERATION:
Install or replace the batteries as below:
1. Press the tabs on the battery door then lifting it off.
2. Insert 4 (four) “C” size batteries (not included) according to the polarity diagram
inside the battery compartment. Replace the battery door.
NOTE: When using battery power, make sure the AC adaptor was detached off
from the unit and wall outlet.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS:
Follow these precautions when using a battery in this device:
1. Use only the size and type of battery specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in
the battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc)
or old batteries with fresh ones.
4. If the batteries in the device are consumed or the device is not to be used for a
long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from
possible battery leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge the battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat
and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s instructions.)
6. Do not dispose of battery in fire. Battery may explodes or leak.
7. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery
installation.
