8 Operating
After setting up the product it is ready for operation.
Important:
– Never operate the product while it is in the packaging or rolled up.
– Do not cover the product while it is in use or cooling down.
– Remove the batteries when you do not use the product for longer periods of time to
prevent leaking.
– Replace the batteries when you notice a great reduction in light performance or the
lights no longer turn on.
8.1 Switching on/off
Switch the product on and off via the mechanical ON and OFF switch on the control unit.
1. To switch on, slide the switch into the position
ON
.
2. To switch off, slide the switch into the position
OFF
.
8.2 Using the timer mode
In timer mode, the lights are on for the first 6 hours and then off for 18 hours. After that, the
process restarts.
1. To activate, slide the switch into the position
TIMER
.
2. To deactivate, slide the switch into the position
OFF
to switch the product off.
9 Cleaning
NOTICE! Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
1. Switch the product off.
2. Let the product cool down to ambient temperature.
3. Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
10 Storing
1. Switch the product off.
2. Let the product cool down to ambient temperature.
3. Remove all batteries from the product and any supplied accessories to prevent leaking.
4. Store the product in a dust-free and cool environment.
11 Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accord-
ance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately
from the product. You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to
return all used (rechargeable) batteries. Disposing of them in the household
waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate
that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (re-
chargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
