Setup and Operation
Important
•
Check that the provided screws are appropriate for the surface material. If in doubt
consult a professional.
• Select a location where there is maximum exposure to sunlight.
•
Keep the panels clean to maximize charging efficiency. See section “Care and cleaning”.
1. Use the holes on the mounting plate as a template to mark where to drill.
2. If needed, insert the plastic dowels using a mallet.
3. Fix the mount to the wall using the supplied screws.
4. Screw the panel onto the mount.
5.
Make sure the panel is securely attached to the mounting bracket before letting go.
6.
Adjust the angle so that it receives the maximum amount of sunlight.
7.
Connect one end of the cable to the solar panel, and the other end to a device with a com
-
patible charging port e.g. item no. 2226162 (wireless IP camera), shown below.
Care and cleaning
•
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
•
Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
• Use a cloth moistened with water if needed.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance
with applicable regulatory guidelines.

Intended use
The product is a 3 W monocrystalline silicon
solar panel battery charger.
It is compatible with item no. 2226162 (wirel

ess IP camera).
It is intended for indoor and outdoor use. It
has an IP65 ingress protection rating and is
protected against dust and water spray from
all directions.
For safety and approval purposes, you must
not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those
described above, the product may be dama
-
ged. In addition, improper use can result in
other hazards. Read the instructions careful

ly and store them in a safe place. Make this
product available to third parties only together
with its operating instructions.

a) General information

The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the
reach of children and pets.

Do not leave packaging material lying
around carelessly. This may become dan

Protect the appliance from strong jolts,
flammable gases, steam and solvents.

Do not place the product under any mecha

• If it is no longer possible to operate the

b) Connected devices

c) Product
• Make sure no objects are blocking the solar
panel.
•
Do not position the panel horizontally. Dust
and debris may accumulate and reduce
charging efficiency. Position the panel at
an angle.
•
Clean the panel regularly. See section
“Care and cleaning.”
•
Risk of burns! The panel can get hot when
left under the sun. Handle with care.
d) Mounting
• Before drilling, check for concealed wires
or pipes beneath the surface that could be
damaged or cause harm.
e) Ingress protection
• For the ingress protection rating to be ef-
fective:

The DC plug on the cable should be
completely connected to the socket on
the panel.
- The microUSB plug on the cable should
be used with a compatible socket e.g.
item no. 2226162
