•  Never insert or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
•  Before connecting the product to the mains, make sure that your local AC mains voltage

matches the specifications on the nameplate.

•  Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm

one. The condensation generated may destroy the product.

•  Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it to use. This

may take several hours.

•

Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to the

product. If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, power down the respective

socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker), and then remove the mains plug from the mains

socket. Discontinue use and take the product to a specialist repair centre.

•  Never overload the cable. Only connect the cable to an appliance with a maximum current

consumption of 16 A.

Connecting the cable to an appliance

Warning! This product must only be installed by a qualified electrician who is familiar with the

relevant regulations. By carrying out improper work on the mains voltage you endanger not only

yourself, but also others. If you are not sure how to install the product, consult a specialist. Do

not attempt to install it yourself.

•  Expose the cable connection point on your appliance.

•  Remove the outer insulation on the mains

cable to a length of about 16 mm.

•  Strip the insulation on each of the three wires to a length of about 6 mm and shorten the neutral (N)

and live (L) wires slightly. The earth cable (yellow-green cable) should be at least 6 mm longer so that it

remains the last cable in the screw terminal in the event of a fault.

•  Run the entire cable through the strain relief into the interior of the appliance that you want to connect.
•  Connect the wires: Earth=yellow/green, neutral=blue, live=brown.
•

Grease the contacts and wires slightly to prevent corrosion. Tighten the screws to secure the wires in

place.

•  Align the cable and screw the strain relief in place.
•  If necessary, close all covers on the cable connection point.

Operation

•  The connected appliance can now be powered via the extension cable.

Care and cleaning

•  Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
•  Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the

housing or cause the product to malfunction.

•  Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. Always

dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.

You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
