Proceed as follows for programming an off-time:
• Press the “MENU“ button to select and display the off-time of the respective program group
(e.g., “1 ”).
• Set the hours by using the “HRS” button (keep it depressed in order to start the fast skip
mode).
• Set the minutes by using the “MIN/CD” button (keep it depressed in order to start the fast
skip mode).
• With the “DAY/WEEK” button you can now choose on which day of the week (or on which
weekday combinations) the switching program of the program group is to be executed. The
days of the week will be shown at the top of the display.
You are advised to program the same day of the week (or the same weekday com-
bination) you used for the on-time (see table for programming the on-time).
• If you do not press any button for several minutes, the settings will be saved and the display
will return to the current time.
This completes the programming mode.
Enabling/disabling the on-/off-time of a program group
You can temporarily deactivate a program group you previously set, e.g., during holidays. The
settings will be kept but the switching program is no longer executed.
Disabling a program group:
• To disable the on-time or off-time of a program group (e.g., during holidays), first select the
desired on-time or off-time of the program group with the “MENU” button.
• Press and hold the button “DAY/WEEK” for more than 2 seconds, the display shows “- - : - -”,
the on-time or off-time of the program group is deactivated and will not be carried out (a
programmed on/off-time will not be deleted, only the execution of the switching program is
deactivated).
Always disable the on-time and the off-time of the respective program group.
Re-enabling a program group:
• Select the respective on-/off-time of the program group with the “MENU” button and press
one of the 3 buttons “HRS”, “MIN/CD” or “DAY/WEEK” briefly.
• If you have already programmed the respective on- /off-time (and the settings have been
saved), it will now be reactivated and shown on the display, i.e. the respective switching
program is active again.
Always activate the on-time and the off-time of the respective program group.
Countdown mode
In the countdown mode, you can set a time between min. 1 minute and max. 23 hours, 59 min-
utes. With the start of the countdown the device is switched on. When the countdown is over
(“0:00:00” ), the device is switched off.
When a countdown starts, all automatic switching programs are disabled! That
means that no automatic switching on or off will take place at the defined times and
weekdays in the program groups.
Setting the countdown time
The weekly timer must be set to the normal time indication.
• Press the “MENU” button as many times as needed until “CD” is shown in the top left corner
of the display.
• Set the hours by using the “HRS” button (keep it depressed in order to start the fast skip
mode).
• Set the minutes by using the “MIN/CD” button (keep it depressed in order to start the fast
skip mode).
• If you do not press any button for several minutes, the settings will be saved and the display
will return to the current time.
This completes the programming mode.
Starting the countdown mode
The weekly timer must be set to the normal time indication.
• Press the “MIN/CD” button briefly to start the countdown mode.
This is possible only if you have set a countdown time as described above.
• The device is switched on, the display shows the elapsed countdown time and the symbol
“CD” in the top left corner.
• During a running countdown you can switch between the time display and the countdown
display with the “MENU” button. In the time display, the symbol “CD” flashes when the count-
down has started.
• When the countdown is over (“0:00:00” in the display), the device is switched off and the
display returns to the time display after 8 seconds.
Stopping the countdown prematurely
In the display, the currently running countdown time must be shown (if necessary,
briefly press the “MENU” button).
• To stop the countdown, briefly press the “MIN/CD” or “DAY/WEEK” button.
The original countdown time will be displayed, the device is switched off. After 8 seconds, the
display returns to the normal time display.
• You can now start the countdown again, if you wish.
Switching between the 12-hour and 24-hour modes
The weekday switch timer must be in the time display mode.
• Briefly press the “HRS” button to switch between the 12-hour and 24-hour modes.
• In the 12-hour mode, “AM” is displayed above the second display for before noon and “PM”
for afternoon.
Resetting the timer
To reset the week day timer switch, press the countersunk “RST” (reset) button briefly, e.g.,
with a toothpick.
The display will briefly show all display segments, then the DCF reception is started (as de-
scribed in the chapter “Getting started”).
During a reset, the programmed settings are retained for the on-/off-times and the
countdown.
Activating the lighting of the LC display/night light function
Use the “ ” button to switch the display light on or off.
The light can also be used as night light due to its large size and brightness.
