c) Handling and use
• Never cover the product when it is in use.
• Never touch, operate, plug in or unplug the product with damp or
wet hands. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never connect the product to the power supply immediately after
it has been transferred from a cold room into a warm one (e.g.,
during transport). The condensation that develops in such cases
could damage the device or cause an electric shock! Allow the
product to reach room temperature. Wait until the condensation
has evaporated. This might take several hours. Only after this
should the product be plugged into the power supply and put into
use.
• Always pull a mains plug on the gripping surface intended for this
purpose. Never unplug the mains plug from a socket by pulling
the cable!
• Make sure that no small parts, clothes, hair, etc. can get into the
fan. Not only it will damage the product, but there is also a risk of
injuries!
• Do not insert any objects through the protective grating during
operation, as it may cause injury!
• If you need to move (e.g., reposition) the product, switch it off first.
Do not move the product by pulling the cord.
• Never leave the product unattended when in operation.
• Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before clean-
ing the product, or when it is not to be used for a while. To be on
the safe side, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during
a thunderstorm.
• Never pour any liquids above or next to the product. You run the
risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric shock.
If any liquid still happens to enter the device, immediately turn
off the power supply to the mains socket to which the table fan
is connected (turn off the fuse / circuit breaker / residual current
operated circuit breaker of the associated circuits). Only then can
you unplug the mains plug of the table fan from the mains socket
and contact a specialist. Do not use the product any longer.
• Do not use the product when it is damaged (e.g., housing, grating,
mains cord). There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
A faulty power mains cable may be replaced only by a specialist.
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (leaking smoke
or a smell of burning, audible cracking noises, discolouration to
the product or the adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of
the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Sys-
tems and Operating Facilities are to be observed!
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating
instructions, please contact our technical department or another
specialist.

Getting started and operation
• Place the table fan on a flat, firm and sufficiently large surface. Pro-
tect valuable furniture surfaces by a suitable mat to prevent scratches,
pressure points or discolourations.
• Move the rotary knob to the leftmost “ON” position (D) by turning it
in counter-clockwise direction. The rotary knob catches in this position
with an audible “click”.
• Put the power plug into a standard mains socket with protective earth
contact.
• Turn the rotary knob clockwise to the right until it catches with an audi-
ble click. The table fan is switched on and the power LED (F) lights up.
• You can adjust fan speed continuously in the range from maximum (E)
to minimum (G) fan speed by the rotary knob.
• To switch off the table fan, turn the rotary knob to the leftmost “OFF”
position (D) in anticlockwise direction. The rotary knob catches in this
position with an audible “click”.
